New addition to the RTF Team – Welcome Alexander!

We are delighted to introduce our new colleague, Alexander C. R. Hammond, who joined the Rising Tide Foundation team as Program Manager in October 2023.

As a Program Manager in Freedom in Practice, Alexander oversees a portfolio of grants that promote moral agency, the rule of law, free markets, and limited government across the world. Previously, Alexander was the founder and director of the Initiative for African Trade and Prosperity, a free trade fellow at the Institute of Economic Affairs, and a research associate at the Cato Institute. He is also the author of the forthcoming book Heroes of Progress: 65 People Who Changed the World. 

Alexander has a BA in history and politics, and a master’s degree by research in political economy. In his spare time, he enjoys writing about the history of economic growth, African development, and global well-being, and spending time with his wife Maria and giant schnauzer Brunya.
