Our philanthropic team is headed by Wendelin Zellmayer with the overall responsibility for the strategy and results of the organisation. Wendelin works in close collaboration with our Board of Directors and an extended network of partners. Our funding programs are managed by highly experienced program managers who collaborate closely with expert grant reviewers and our Advisory Board.
Wendelin leads the management of the foundation and its subsidiaries.
As CEO, he ensures that the organization complies with relevant laws and maintains the highest standards of business ethics and good governance. Together with the board, he is responsible for the management of business risks and the development of effective grant management strategies and systems aligned with the foundation's vision. Additionally, he cultivates an ongoing dialogue with external communities.
Alexandre advises the board of directors in steering the Cancer Research program. Together with Valerie, he manages the portfolio of active grants, and the design and implementation of new programs and partnerships. Alexandre is also responsible for steering the foundation's Patient Engagement initiatives.
As senior program manager, Isabelle works closely with the foundation's board and advisory board to shape the strategic direction of the Freedom in Practice funding area. She oversees the active grant portfolio and works closely with potential and existing grantees and stakeholders to maximize the impact of the foundation's grant making.
Valerie leads the therapy optimization focus area and provides strategic direction for clinical cancer research activities. Together with Alexandre, she jointly manages the active grants portfolio while developing new initiatives with other organizations to ensure maximum patient impact.
As grant program manager for Freedom in Practice, Patrick manages RTF’s active grant portfolio with focus on projects from the liberty movement. He works closely with existing and new grantees as well as other stakeholders to find innovative ways to enhance freedom and prosperity.
Zoraide holds both bachelor's and master's degrees in Molecular Biology from the University of Pisa, as well as a Ph.D. in Molecular Life Science from the University of Zurich. Prior to joining Rising Tide Foundation for Clinical Cancer Research, she was working at a next-generation sequencing service provider company called GenomeScan (GS) in the Netherlands, where she became the company specialist for nationally- and internationally-funded projects, as well as exploratory client-based projects.
