Independent evaluations of grant applications by subject experts are an important part of our grant review process. 

At times it is difficult to secure reviewers for all the applications we need to evaluate for our grant cycles (three times per year) and strategic requests for proposals. 

We would like to invite you to consider being part of our reviewer network! 

How do we review grants? 

For every grant application we assign a primary and secondary reviewer. These are experts in the topic being researched. We also add to each grant a biostatistician and a cancer patient advocate.  

The grant applications are assigned to the reviewers four weeks before we conduct an online review call. During the call, each reviewer has about five minutes to present their review and make recommendations.  

The effort for participating in our review process is compensated.

Contributing to improve research 

Once the reviews are finalized, we share them with each applicant, giving them the possibility to address the reviewers’ recommendations.
