LITE Memphis has a vision to close the racial wealth gap for African American and Latino/a/x students by becoming entrepreneurs and securing high-wage jobs.

First Step Staffing (FSS)

Employment for Men and Women Experiencing Homelessness

Rising Tide supports the work of First Step Staffing (FSS) to employ those disenfranchized from the workforce, including men and women experiencing homelessness, veterans, and returning citizens. FSS offers targeted support to these individuals, including international job coaching, a robust transportation program, and help obtaining and retaining jobs - allowing their clients to become economically self-sufficient.

BagoSphere Impact Limited

Expansion of a proven model of skills training for employment

In partnership with the Ateneo de Manila University through the Ateneo Center for Educational Development (ACED), Bagosphere has successfully completed its first year of online training for the Career Preparation Program. The program tackles the problem of youth unemployment in the Philippines from the demand side - by working closely with employers and training people in the skills required. The four-week training was done in 12 batches, training a total of 231 online learners aspiring to become call center agents. The program boasts an 87% placement rate.

Communicating Liberty to Under-Serviced Audiences

Rising Tide supports the work of Foundation of Economic Education (FEE) to engage, educate, and inspire young people - particularly minority, underserved audiences - with the philosophy of freedom. The FEE initiative uses online media, in-person workshops, online learning, accessible resources, and community partnerships to educate and inspure young African-Americans and Hispanics - in the US, Latin America, and Spain - to choose freedom as their chosen method for social change and economic progress.

Eradicating Barriers to Economic Freedom for Women

With support from Rising Tide, Atlas Network supports projects that improve quality of life for women around the world. A wide variety of new initiatives at local and national levels spanning several continents have resulted from this program, with Atlas Network hosting webinars, in-person events, and consultation calls to highlight the importance of this issue.
