Why, oh why?

“Why, oh why?” We are sitting in each our own corner, thinking about why things are happening around us. Why is death around us? The crematorium oven is an opening in the wall, waiting for us. A very depressed picture, but I like it a lot.

I have been diagnosed with breast cancer twice, my husband suffers from prostate cancer, and several family members and close friends have all been lost to cancer. So cancer is very much on my mind all the time.

I have never been educated as a painter, but I enjoy expressing myself with color and shapes on the canvas, and during the process of painting I am often surprised by how the image is able to – almost by itself – express my inner thoughts.
