EGBOK Mission Training and Internship Training
Cambodia remains one of the poorest countries in Southeast Asia. The roots of the challenges Cambodia is facing today are based on its history. An estimated 1.7 million people, or nearly 20% of the country’s population, perished during the Khmer Rouge regime from 1975-79. The effects of the genocide are still apparent in modern times as Cambodia continues to rebuild its economy, education system, and social institutions.
EGBOK is offering vocational training and employment opportunities for the country’s underprivileged youths – utilizing the economic driver of tourism to build a qualified local workforce for the thriving industry. EGBOK helps them to become self-supporting – thereby breaking the cycle of poverty that exists throughout the country today.
