Rising Tide Foundation’s New Focus Area: Energy, Freedom, and Civilization

The Rising Tide Foundation’s Freedom in Practice program is excited to launch a new focus area: Energy, Freedom, and Civilization.  

With this new funding area, the Rising Tide Foundation is recognizing that access to abundant and affordable energy is not just a matter of economic convenience, but a safeguard of freedom, the environment, and civilization itself. Energy abundance is especially important for the world’s poorest nations, who require access to affordable and high-quality energy to economically develop and unleash the individual’s potential for wealth generation and self-determination. 

This new initiative underscores Rising Tide’s commitment to bridging theory and practice, championing individual freedom and choice, and supporting projects that illuminate the crucial link between high-quality and affordable energy and a flourishing society. 

What types of projects are we looking for? 

• Developing new narratives around the importance of cheap and abundant energy as it relates to individual freedom and human flourishing. 
• Generating wide-reaching public education programs on the role of energy in sustaining a free and prosperous civilization. 
• Research and policy advocacy that focus on innovation, elimination of subsidies in the energy sector, impact of green policies on competitiveness, and the importance of human adaptation to changing environments.
