Liberty Comms Lab Empowers European Think Tanks to Reach the Mainstream
December 19, 2025
Pro-liberty policy think tanks across Europe are doing vital work, generating research that to solve complex societal problems. Yet, a significant “opportunity gap” remains: while the intellectual work is strong, the messages often struggle to reach the wider public. To bridge this divide, Young Voices hosted the inaugural Liberty Comms Lab Summit, on November 20-22 at the Rising Tide Foundation office building in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.
Young Voices, a global non-profit PR firm, launched Liberty Comms Lab to help classical liberal organizations improve their communications ability.
By shifting focus from traditional analytical journalism to high-impact, opinion-based commentary, the program ensures that the ideas of freedom resonate in the mainstream media. Schaffhausen provided the perfect central location for a cohort of 14 communications leaders from across the continent to gather, learn, and develop scalable public relations strategies.
The three-day, in-person summit marked the second phase of this year-long initiative. Led by Young Voices’ team of experts, including Global Projects Manager Jason Reed, the curriculum was tailored for organizations ready to punch above their weight. Key sessions included:
- Core PR Skills: Intensive training on writing effective op-eds, pitching to top-tier media, and delivering powerful TV and radio interviews.
- Organizational Strategy: Leveraging PR to achieve mission-critical goals and managing external networks of writers.
- Strategic Planning: The primary outcome was tangible: participants left with concrete, strategic PR plans ready for immediate implementation.
The summit is just the beginning. Participating organizations now move into Part 3: Consultancy. From January through June 2026, Young Voices will provide on-call consulting support, checking in weekly to help these think tanks execute their new PR plans and achieve their goals.
We are excited to partner with Young Voices on this initiative. By building the communications capacity of European think tanks, we are helping to amplify the philosophy of freedom across the globe.
