RTFCCR and Anticancer Fund Launch Ingenious, a Joint Call to Support Innovative Treatment Strategies to Improve Cancer Survival

May 8, 2026

The Rising Tide Foundation for Clinical Cancer Research (RTFCCR) and the Anticancer Fund (ACF) have launched Ingenious, a new joint Call for Research Projects (CfRP) aimed at supporting academicled clinical trials evaluating whether treatment strategies that incorporate predictive information can improve patient survival.

Rather than focusing on the development of new drugs, this call seeks to optimize how existing, approved treatment options are used in clinical practice. In particular, the call encourages projects that:

  • Integrate predictive information into treatment decisionmaking, and
  • Optimize current treatment strategies to improve outcomes while avoiding unnecessary treatment where possible.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible proposals must:

  • Explicitly integrate predictive information into the treatment strategy;
  • Test clinical treatment strategies with improvement in survival outcomes as the primary objective; patientreported outcomes must be included;
  • Use only interventions that are already approved or recommended in clinical guidelines for the cancer type studied.

Funding Details

  • Total budget: EUR 2,000,000 (EUR 1,000,000 RTFCCR / EUR 1,000,000 ACF)
  • Institutional cofunding: ≥20% required
  • Funding request per project: No minimum or maximum amount

Key Dates
